Mr. Lawson's Bio
I grew up in Avondale, AZ and moved to Waddell at the age of 10. Once in Waddell I began attending Millennium High School where I got involved with the local FFA chapter there. My senior year I was elected as chapter FFA president and then when I graduated in 2007 I decided to go on and run for State FFA Office. I was elected as the 2007-2008 State FFA Vice President at large and traveled the state visiting high schools teaching students about the benefits of FFA. It was during this year of service that I realized the passion I had for agricultural education and so I decided to attend the University of Arizona to pursue a degree in Ag Ed. I transferred to Northern Arizona University so that I could be closer to home and help work in my local family business, Lawson Auto Supply. I interviewed in July of 2012 for a position at AAEC Estrella Mountain but I did not receive the job, however, in October I got a call that they wanted me to teach Intro to Ag at the AAEC Paradise Valley campus. At the end of my first year teaching I requested to transfer to AAEC Estrella Mountain to be closer to my home here in the West Valley where I grew up.
